A recent analysis revealed that the median compensatory award in Georgia is 11,000, with juries awarding damages in 53 percent of personal injury trials. The study examined award data from 1997 through 2002.
Statistics were generated on the compensatory award median, probability range, and award distribution for plaintiff verdicts rendered in Georgia. The median award is the middle value among awards listed in ascending order, and the probability range is defined as the middle 50 percent of all awards when listed in ascending order. Note: Figures do not add up to 100 percent due to rounding.
